Expedia + Vrbo:
Reservation Details
Hotel managers and vacation rental owners were expressing frustrations with managing their reservations - the reservation detail page was overly complex. By analyzing and auditing user needs, flows, and content, I reduced cognitive overload and simplified UI and content. In the process, I also converged Vrbo and Expedia’s reservation details page with a UI made up of reusable, themable components. The components adapt to serve both the overlapping and unique needs of hotel managers and vacation rental owners.

Expedia:
Messaging redesign
I migrated the Expedia Partner Central B2B messaging center to a new design system, while improving comprehension and discoverability of core features like templates. Hotel front desk managers were having trouble getting the reservation details they needed to answer a message without clicking to multiple pages. The redesign drove a 5% increase in response rates thanks to a cleaner UI and new functionality to filter by unanswered messages. I also contributed chat components to the new design system and launched new features and flows to support attachments.

Honeywell:
Device management system
I led product design for the launch of Operational Intelligence, an application that collects data about Honeywell’s hardware for B2B warehouse and retail customers. Through ongoing co-development with our first customer, I designed interaction patterns, flows, and UI for dashboards and alerts and worked with scrum teams around the world using agile methods to bring the vision to life. Our key customer has purchased the application (launching August 2019), as part of a multi-million dollar deal.

Prime Video:
Kids experience
I designed and launched Prime Video's first dedicated area for kids, which was rolled out globally in 2017. I created wireframes and mockups for all compatible devices (desktop web, mobile web, Android, iOS, Smart TVs, and FireTV), curated the content, decided the layout, and conducted usability testing. The MVP drove a 3% increase in Kids streams, which allowed us to get leadership buy-in for engineering resources. Thereafter I collaborated on a testing and development roadmap to create custom features for kids.

Amazon Fashion:
Mexico launch
I created Amazon Mexico's desktop, mobile web, and mobile app shopping experience for the launch of Amazon Fashion. I integrated Fashion into the existing Amazon ecosystem, designed local navigation and mobile optimized storefronts, defined the information architecture, and optimized search and product pages with custom features for Fashion products. As the only Designer and Researcher on the team, I also executed the designs with a CMS. The new Fashion store drove 15% more new customers to Amazon Mexico.

Immigrant Assistance:
Volunteer matching
As part of AIGA’s Changemaker Series, which pairs volunteer designers with local non-profits, I worked with St. James Immigrant Assistance (SJIA), an organization which helps immigrants acclimate to life in the U.S. My team conducted user research and designed an online portal to help SJIA staff quickly match a surplus of volunteers wanting to help immigrant clients. We delivered personas, storyboards, an experience map, low fidelity mockups, a clickable prototype, and information architecture.
